Professional Helicopter Pilot Program
The Professional helicopter pilot program is a complolation of the following courses:
Step One: Private
During this portion of your flight training you will earn your Private Helicopter Rating that allows you to fly with passengers.
Step Two: Instrument
During this portion of your flight training you will learn how to fly the helicopter by sole reference of the instruments.
Step Three: Commercial
During this portion of your flight training you will hone your flying skills to a profesional standard, this rating also allows you to fly for compensation or hire.
Step Three: (CFI) Certified Flight Instructor
During this portion of your flight training you will learn how to teach others how to fly.
Step Three: (CFII) Certified Flight Instructor Instrument
During this portion of your flight training you will learn how to teach others how to fly on instruments.
- Dual Instruction $255 per hour
- Dual Instrument Instruction $270 per hour
- Solo Rate $215 per hour
- Ground Instruction $45 per hour
- Written Tests (One for each rating) $750
- Examiner Fees $2150
- Estimated Cost of Professional Course $50- $60,000
This estimate includes flight hours, ground school, materials, and testing fees that you might expect to spend while obtaining the required certificates.
